More exciting news!

As you may have spotted on my Instagram or Facebook accounts, the word is out!

Back in October, I took the loooong train ride from Lowestoft to Devon to film an episode of Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas 2021. I participated in the Christmas jumper competition, going up against three very talented and lovely people, all of us designing and knitting our interpretation of a Christmas jumper in preparation for the show, and took part in a timed challenge whilst we were there.

And if you’re in the UK, you can watch me trying not to make a fool of myself on Wednesday 15th December at 5pm on Channel 4.

In other news, it’s been quite eventful over here lately. I have a new sweater for your delight and delectation, named for the town I have made my home, the most Easterly town in the country, I give you the Most Easterly Sweater:

It is a relatively simple pattern, and might therefore even be attempted by an ambitious beginner. A squishy roll neck, coils of colour block stripes and designed in a looser style, in Drops Andes yarn which is 65% wool, 35% alpaca and super soft, with a generous body and sleeves, it is perfect for layering up for a brisk walk along South Beach.

You can, of course, knit the whole thing in one colour if you prefer, or mix it up with stripes – the world is your oyster. On which note, it has a festive cousin coming your way very soon:
