Description
Four fair-isle hats, each slightly different in style, colour, pattern and technique. Made with Rooster Almerino (aran) wool on 4mm and 5mm circular needles. I can no longer source the yarn used in this design, but any equivalent aran weight yarn in keeping with the gauge will work fine.
To make all four hats, you will need:
- 2 x 50g balls Rooster Almerino Aran in Lilac Sky or equivalent aran weight yarn – see gauge below
- 2 x 50g balls Rooster Almerino Aran in Sugared Almond
- 2 x 50g balls Rooster Almerino Aran in Smoothie
- 2 x 50g balls Rooster Almerino Aran in Custard
- 4mm (for the rib) and 5mm circular knitting needles
- Stitch marker tapestry needle for sewing in ends.
(To make just one hat, you will need around half a ball of each colour)
Gauge: 20 stitches and 26 rows per 10cm
To fit: head size 54 – 58cm (give or take – nice stretchy rib)
