Description
The Juno Jumper was designed for our little Jack Russell Juno who, at 11, is now a little long in the tooth. She is not remotely keen on the cold, preferring to think herself some kind of cat / human hybrid, whose favourite spot is on the plumpest sofa cushion by a window in the sunlight.
It has always been a popular pattern (and is peppered with photographs providing a comprehensive photo-tutorial) but was launched into the limelight when Tom Daley was pictured knitting it at the Olympics.
So, to the pattern!
Juno’s measurements are:
26cm around the neck
41cm around the chest
The jumper measures:
18cm from top of jumper to leg holes.
The entire jumper is 40cm from top to bottom.
Measuring your dog will give you an idea of whether you need to add rows to the neck / body, or stitches to the circumference.
Paintbox Simply Chunky gives a guideline tension of 15sts for 10cm, which gives a good guide to work up or down to, depending on the size of your canine companion. It is also 100% acrylic and therefore machine washable, which is handy when tackling mud!
You will need:
100g Paintbox Simply Chunky in your chosen hue.
6.5mm circular needle
4 stitch markers
6mm or 7mm crochet hook (optional).
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
