{"id":2024,"date":"2019-02-24T18:51:26","date_gmt":"2019-02-24T18:51:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.wordpress.com\/?p=2024"},"modified":"2019-02-24T18:51:26","modified_gmt":"2019-02-24T18:51:26","slug":"dolly-socks-ftw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.co.uk\/?p=2024","title":{"rendered":"Dolly Socks ftw"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2022\" src=\"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/02\/2019-02-24-09-56-36.jpg\" alt=\"2019-02-24-09-56-36\" width=\"1066\" height=\"1600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Anyone who follows me on Instagram will know I&#8217;ve been playing a lot with socks, chunky and fine, of late.<\/p>\n<p>And one of my newest discoveries is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loveknitting.com\/debbie-bliss-toast-4-ply?utm_medium=affiliate&amp;a_aid=7d8ae305\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Toast<\/a>, a washable sock yarn with cashmere by Debbie Bliss.<\/p>\n<p>My first foray with them produced these<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2025\" src=\"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/02\/img_20190130_200617_404.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_20190130_200617_404\" width=\"1518\" height=\"1011\" \/><\/p>\n<p>(which I will write up next \ud83d\ude42 )<\/p>\n<p>But before I do, I got a bit excited about this yarn&#8217;s squishy softness and the way it holds the integrity of each stitch: it was clearly a contender for a bit of lace&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>So I picked up the needles and a gorgeous ball of silver yarn, and<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2026\" src=\"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/02\/img_20190214_143730_287.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_20190214_143730_287\" width=\"1438\" height=\"1199\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t need to get beyond this to know these were going to be beautiful.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2027\" src=\"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/02\/2019-02-24-09-58-28.jpg\" alt=\"2019-02-24-09-58-28\" width=\"1022\" height=\"1020\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And they&#8217;re NOT boot socks. These babies deserve to be seen.<\/p>\n<p>So slip them on, dig out your mary janes (my chestnut beauties are Duckfeet.
