And that, as I&#8217;m sure you already know, is a totally heart-fuzzy feeling.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, those two beauts are not the <em>actual<\/em> reason for this post.<\/p>\n<p>This is:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1935\" src=\"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/01\/1-2.jpg\" alt=\"ptr\" width=\"1314\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.loveknitting.com\/debbie-bliss-toast-4-ply?utm_medium=affiliate&amp;a_aid=7d8ae305\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This completely gorgeous squishiness<\/a>, which arrived in the post last week. It&#8217;s made with cashmere, dontchaknow, for the poshest socks you can fashion.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, anything else I had on the go was instantly discarded (well, put in the ever-groaning WIP pile, much to the chagrin of my best beloved, whose beautiful moss-green jumper is lying in a pile next to my bed just&#8230; waiting).<\/p>\n<p>In bed&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1936\" src=\"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/01\/2-1.jpg\" alt=\"nor\" width=\"750\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And it was difficult not to get a bit carried away. OK, I&#8217;ll admit. I didn&#8217;t resist it at all.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1937\" src=\"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/01\/3-1.jpg\" alt=\"3\" width=\"1349\" height=\"1200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Contrast heel turned:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1938\" src=\"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/01\/4.jpg\" alt=\"ptr\" width=\"1333\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And I&#8217;m happy to say the first is finished, and displayed beautifully here on my turtally sheepy sock-blockers, for glorious full effect. &lt;3<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1939\" src=\"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/01\/5.jpg\" alt=\"5.jpg\" width=\"1331\" height=\"993\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The second is well underway &#8211; no blooming Second Sock Syndrome happening here <em>this<\/em> time! I am too excited to be able to wear them oop &#8216;ere in the cold North-East, where the temperatures are plummeting <em>as I speak<\/em>. On which note&#8230; I may also be knitting a slightly varied version of my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loveknitting.com\/beauteous-boot-socks-knitting-pattern-by-alice-neal?utm_medium=affiliate&amp;a_aid=7d8ae305\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Beauteous Boot Socks<\/a> this weekend as I may or may not have shrunk a few in the wash recently&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1437\" src=\"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/12\/wp-1482559243071.jpg\" alt=\"wp-1482559243071.jpg\" width=\"1564\" height=\"1564\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m looking forward to the arrival of an aran superwash sock yarn which I&#8217;m reliably informed is in the pipeline as we speak&#8230; Watch this space, as they say.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This completely gorgeous squishiness, which arrived in the post last week.
