{"id":1495,"date":"2017-01-27T10:52:55","date_gmt":"2017-01-27T10:52:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.wordpress.com\/?p=1495"},"modified":"2017-01-27T10:52:55","modified_gmt":"2017-01-27T10:52:55","slug":"one-hat-two-ways","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.co.uk\/?p=1495","title":{"rendered":"One Hat Two Ways"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I thought you might like this&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>See, in the spirit of waste not, want not, and not having loads of scrappy bits of yarn left over that you can&#8217;t bear to throw away but won&#8217;t quite make something else&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.loveknitting.com\/the-owl-and-the-pussycat-knitting-pattern-by-alice-neal?a_aid=7d8ae305\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Owl and the Pussycat<\/a>, remember?<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1483\" src=\"https:\/\/aliceinknittingland.files.wordpress.com\/2017\/01\/owls15.jpg\" alt=\"owls15\" width=\"1285\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So, I had one ball of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.loveknitting.com\/lang-yarns-merino-color?sku=YLA063_0009&amp;a_aid=7d8ae305\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lang Merino Color+ yarns in colour 9<\/a> and one ball of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.loveknitting.com\/debbie-bliss-falkland-aran?sku=10124806&amp;a_aid=7d8ae305\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Debbie Bliss Falkland Aran in <em>Camel<\/em> <\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Debbie Bliss provided the base colour for the hat, while the Lang Merino produced a beautifully undulating colour up to the crown.<\/p>\n<p>Well!! I had quite a lot left, so I thought &#8220;Why the heck not?&#8221; and I reversed the colour scheme.<\/p>\n<p>I completely love the result.
